On May 16, 209, a picturesque town of Zeuthen, not far from Berlin, hosted a very interesting seminar “GO East: Wind energy in Ukraine”. The event was organized by the German company Spreewind GmbH (www.spreewind.de), the consulting company GEO-Net GmbH, well known in Ukraine for its wind measurement campaigns at project sites in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association.
The workshop was aimed at introduction of the Ukrainian wind power market to German companies interested in investing and implementing wind farms in our country.
Among speakers were Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, Yaroslav Petrov, Asters, Maryna Hritsyshyna, Sayenko Kharenko, Robert Dunaevskiy, Engineering Company Professor Dr.-Ing. Katzenbach GmbH, Igor Nus, Vestas Northern & Central Europe and Dmytro Goncharenkov, RES advisor.
It is very pleasant to note that all the speakers of the Ukrainian delegation are members of the UWEA.
The success of the workshop proved one more time that Ukraine with its high RES potential is of great interest for Europe.
