On October, 27 leading European and Ukrainian wind experts, lawyers and bankers will share their practical experiences at the II International conference “Factors to Ensure Successful Wind Energy Project”. The event is organized by Ukrainian Wind Energy Association within the framework of the III International GREENEXPO | Alternative Energy Trade Show, taking place on October 26 — 28 in KyivExpoPlaza venue.
Successful development of national wind energy sector depends on the availability of legislative base and quality of projects being implemented in the country. These issues are crucial to create attractive business environment for investors. The postulate has been proven by successful stories of countries leading nowadays in global wind energy industry.
Ukraine is one of the most promising wind markets of the world. Law on "green" tariff adopted in 2009 and other similar incentives aimed at promoting and stimulating renewable energy development in the country have already borne fruit. Over the past years a number of positive developments have happened in Ukrainian “green” energy sector resulted in commissioning new wind and solar power plants with advanced international technology and equipment.
At the same time some barriers hamper the development of Ukrainian wind energy sector. This is primarily due to the quality of project preparation.
