The VI International Investment Summit "Sustainable development: energy efficiency, resources conservation and environmental safety," aimed at revealing the investment and innovative potentials of the region, and improving the environmental safety and energy efficiency of the economy, took place in Donetsk on October 17-18, 2013. The summit was attended by over 1,000 participants - representatives of the EU, international financial institutions, national and regional authorities, heads of leading international and Ukrainian companies.
"Donetsk region is a leader in terms of investments in wind power in Ukraine, - says Andrey Konechenkov, Chairman of the UWEA. - It is in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region, a production of modern wind turbines has been established. To date this is the only one wind turbine manufacture in Ukraine. The combination of global advanced wind power technologies with extensive experience in the energy and machine building sectors gained in Ukraine is a guarantee of the national wind industry’s success. The wind sector of Ukraine, presented today by 18 operating wind farm industry, domestic production of industrial and small wind power aggregates contributes significantly to the economic development of our country."
