Institute of Renewable Energy has launched Testing Laboratory for Wind Energy Equipment and Wind Farms

One of the activities of Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IRE NASU) is determination of operational characteristics of wind energy facilities of domestic and foreign production installed in Ukraine. For this purpose Testing Laboratory for wind energy facilities (WEF) and wind farms (WF) has been created in the Institute.

On October 25, 2011 the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine issued «Accreditation Certificate» certifying the competence of Testing Laboratory of IRE NASU in accordance with  requirements DSTU ISO/IEC 17025:2006 (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) in the field: wind energy facilities and wind farms testing:

1)    Noise level measurement (DSTU 4225-2003 p.7.6, DSTU IEC 61400-11-2002);

2)    Insulation resistance test (DSTU 4225-2003 p.7.15, GOST 7217-87);

3)    Earthling resistance measurement;

4)    Power characteristics measurement (DSTU IEC 61400-12-2001, DSTU 4225-2003 p.7.3);

5)    Type test  (DSTU 4225-2003):

- operation safety test;

- power characteristics testing;

- noise characteristics testing;

6)    Determination of reliability index values of wind energy facilities (DSTU 4037-2001 p. 6, 16, 19, DSTU 4225-2003 p. 7.4).
