Vindkraft Ukraine added two new wind farms

According to Press Release provided by the company "Vindkraft Ukraine", the company has commissioned its two wind power plants (WPP) Stavki and Beregovaya totaling 21,5 MW. The wind farms construction of which began in June 2013, will generate annually about 70 mln kWh of clean electricity.

WPP Stavki with installed capacity of 9,2 MW began operating in February 2014. The plant is located in Kalanchakskiy district, Kherson region, and consists of 3 wind turbines with unit capacity of 3,075 MW.

WPP Beregovaya totaling 12,3 MW and comprising 4 wind turbines of 3,075 MW each is located in Skadovsk district of Kherson region. The plant started commercial operations in March 2014.

For the first time a new modification of the wind turbine V 112-3.0 with hub height of 119 m were installed in Ukraine. The wind turbine manufacturer is Danish company Vestas.

The project has been implemented in strict compliance with the EC and EBRD environmental impact requirements. The project cost amounts to 38 mln euro.
