On September 6-7, 2012 Sevastopol, Ukraine, hosted the Second International Investment Forum ISIF “Global view of the Black Sea region of Ukraine". UWEA took part in the event.
Expansion of its geography with the focus on the entire Black Sea region of Ukraine is a distinctive feature of this year Forum. About 50 investment projects were presented at the Forum which gathered nearly 400 guests.
Renewable energy was one of the key topics during the first day. "Modern Ukrainian renewable energy sector is attractive to many investment institutions. Not only existing high "green" tariff combined with an excellent Renewable Energy sources, but an opportunity to diversify the national energy sector through adding new RE electricity generating facilities promote the development of the renewable energy in the country", said Andrey Konechenkov, Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Wind Energy Association .
Session "Energy. Ways to finance projects. No alternative to alternatives "chaired by A.Konechenkov, was co-organized by the UWEA in the frame of ISIF.
