On September 21, 2012 "Fuhrländer Wind Technolodgy" LLC inaugurated the plant for Fuhrländer FL2500 Wind Turbine production (unit capacity of 2,5 MW) in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The manufacture has been established on the basis of JSC "Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Building Works" (KZTS).
Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Anatoly Bliznyuk, Minister of Regional Development and Housing, and Sergei Titenko, Chairman of the National Commission that Implements State Regulation in Energy Sector in Ukraine, attended the event.
According to the director of "Fuhrländer Wind Technolodgy" Vitaly Zagudaev, 20 towers for wind turbines are planned for production in 2012, while in the next year the number will be increased from 50 to 100 towers.
Up to-day the commercial production of towers and anchor baskets has been launched and a contract for manufacturing the nacelle frame has been signed at KZTS. Pilot samples of some plastic components including blades are to be produced by a firm from Nikolaev by the end of the year. Some leading Ukrainian production plants have been working on elaborate production of some wind turbine components such as main transformer and generator.
Production of a new turbine with unit capacity of 3 MW is planned for 2013. The new FL3000-3 MW machine will have a hybrid tower of 140 m, 120-metre-diameter rotor and a foundation made from steel construction. The first FL3000 to be installed at Kramatorsk Wind Farm located in Donetsk region According to Maxim Efimov, General Director of Energomashspetsstal, 120 mln Ukrainian Hryvnas (UAH) were invested directly into "Fuhrländer Wind Technolodgy" and 550 mln UAH into related industries.
