The Sitting devoted to the construction of wind farms in the Lugansk region took place on April 24, 2013 in Lugansk Regional State Administration. During his presentation General Director of Management Company "Wind Parks of Ukraine," Mr. Vladislav Eremenko announced the start of the of three major projects aimed at construction of wind farms in Krasnodonskiy, Lutuginskiy and Antratsitovskiy districts with planned capacity of 425 MW, 225 MW and 225 MW correspondingly. The foundation of the first wind turbine in the area of Krasnodonskiy district has been already laid. The first wind turbines are scheduled for commissioning in 4-5 months.
Wind projects have enormous social and economic impact on the development of Luhansk region. Considering the national importance of wind farms for the Lugansk region and the country as a whole, wind parks Krasnodonskiy and Lutuginskiy have been given the status of National projects "Energy of Nature" of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Governor of Lugansk region Mr.Vladimir Pristyuk highly appreciated the importance of wind energy projects implemented by the Management Company "Wind Parks of Ukraine." "The wind farms will create 365 new jobs, plus the experts from related industries will be involved in the projects as well. Besides the salaries for wind farms workers will be about 30% higher than the average regional one," noted the Governor.
Chairman of the Board of UWEA Mr. Andriy Konechenkov who took part in the Sitting of the Lugansk Regional State Administration, said: "The development of wind power in the areas with high wind potential is an excellent, eco-friendly alternative to traditional power facilities, it brings investments to the local budget and creates new jobs. Projects implemented by the Management Company «Wind Parks of Ukraine» are a perfect example of such approach".
